Gander

Gander was part of our K9 Heroes Litter. She was named after the famous K9 Hero, Gander, who saved the lives of many Canadian soldiers during WWII. Click here for the story of her namesake.

Gander is a fun girl that loves to carry a ball around in her mouth all the time (just like her daddy). She can be a bit shy when she initially meets people; but, loves to give 'hugs' and her trademark 'slow lick' kisses once she warms up to you.

Gander's show career has started well - she won WB for a major the day after the Lakeshore specialty show and then headed out to CO in September for our National Specialty where she won Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes at the Independent, Winner's Bitch at the Indepedent before the National, and then Grand Futurity Winner at the National!

In very limited showing as a special she has earned her grand championship, an Owner Handled Best in Specialty Show, made the cut at the 2016 NS, and earned an AOM at the IS after the NS.

In May 2018 she earned her Master Draft Dog title - meaning she qualified 5 times at open level in drafting - this is an extremely hard accomplishment...and Gander was even 5 for 5 with no NQs ever when drafting!!


Gander went to live with the Mullaly family late 2019 - she gets to be a spoiled only dog and get all the attention 100% of the time.
