Archer
Archer is from our 'Amore' litter born on Valentine's Day to NBISS winning Fannie May. He lives near Knoxville TN with his family. Fannie is one of the absolute sweetest, easiest swissies you've ever met...and Archer is totally his mom's son! His temperament is just to die for...he loves to be a part of everything...rides around the farm, coming into his parents' office and greeting all the patients, and getting to spend the night at his human sister's sorority house and be 'one of the girls' are his favorite things in life! He just wants to be touched...he'll sprawl on his back and sit and let you hug him for hours. The cuddliest dog ever his family reports.
He also loves being a farm dog and will ride all over in the ATV, pretend he's part pig covering himself in mud, and loves to tease the goat, JJ, and act tough but then books it as soon as JJ puts his head down and comes towards him!
He's the life of the party, always wants to be part of everything, and enjoys life to the fullest. Never met a stranger, great with other dogs (big and small), and a very brave, confident boy.
Archer was 'Best Puppy' at the Independent Specialty (his first time in the ring) in conjunction with the 2019 National. Then COVID happened and he didn't see the show ring again until January 2021. His very first show out after the National he went Winner's Dog & Best of Winners for 3 back-to-back majors. We didn't show him the rest of 2021 with the hopes of him doing well at the National...he exceeded our expectations by going Reserve Winner's Dog at the 2021 GSMDCA National Specialty for a major to finish his Championship. The next day at the Independent following the NS he was moved up and his first time showing in breed he went Select Dog and Best of Breed Owner Handled over top ranked specials.
His first weekend out as a special he earned a Group 1 and Group 3 - we only had him out for about 1.5 months as a special but in that short period of time he earned his way into the Top 20 for 2022. Archer made it to the final cut at the 2022 GSMDCA NS and earned an AOM at the independent show following the National. In 2023 he made the journey out to CA for that year's National and made it all the way to the final cut at both the GSMDCA NS and the IS prior to the national. He also helped to earn our 2nd 'Best in Breeder's Class' award in 2023 with Sesame & Badger.
