Montgomery
Monty was our first Swissy. He was the most laid back, sweetest, easiest (except for the house training) puppy and was the best boy anyone could ever ask for.
Monty bloated and torsed in the fall of 2006 (while we were on our honeymoon). This is one of the scariest things that can happen (especially when you aren't around), so if you are serious about getting a Swissy make sure you are familiar with the symptoms and ways to help try to prevent this.
Monty easily earned his Draft Dog (DD) title and had earned three legs towards his Master Draft Dog (MDD) title before injuring himself and not being able to cart any more. He was the first dog I ever put a novice obedience (CD) title on and was the main reason I got so involved in teaching and training in obedience, rally, and drafting.
Monty made it almost to twelve years of age (very old for a swissy) - we put him to sleep two days before his twelth birthday due to a sharp decline in mobility and health.
