Sting

Sting (aka Sting Bing, Bing Boing, Sting-ker) is a super sweet, energetic girl. She is a brave, bold girl ready to try anything she is asked to do, and some things she is not asked for as well! She tries very hard to please, and once she burns off her excess energy wants nothing more than to soak up all the love she can get. She is very much a velcro dog, wanting to be where her people are. She loves to guess where we will go next, and get there faster than anyone else does! She has a high prey drive, vigilantly watching for squirrels and rabbits to chase out of her yard. She has not had the opportunity to try herding anything but other dogs, but as her dog friends can attest, she has natural herding ability and uses it to keep other dogs in line. She is high energy but has a very good “off switch”, and is generally a calm well behaved house dog.

Sting is an athletic, balanced, clearly feminine girl, a lovely mover. She is incredibly strong for her size, much more powerful than she appears. She LOVES the show ring, completing her Championship at 15 months and her Grand Championship shortly after she turned 2, with 4 majors in one weekend. She went to an IABCA show and received 5 top (V1) ratings that weekend, earning her International Championship the first day. She enjoys FastCat, pack hiking and swimming, and has fun using her nose to find treats hidden around the house. We plan to participate in barn hunt, weight pull, drafting, and agility as well as obedience and rally. She has participated in Meet the Breed at a well attended dog show, and has the temperament to be a wonderful therapy dog.

Sting’s enthusiasm for life and activity makes her fun to work with and in some ways easy to train, but presents challenges at times. We look forward to overcoming some of those challenges, showing how much potential a happy energetic swissy has!
